NTN Driveshaft, a world leader in constant velocity technology for the automotive industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to work onsite at our Columbus, Indiana, operation. We have 2000 employees in Columbus, and customer demand for our product is growing rapidly, including Honda, Ford, Toyota, GM, Chrysler, and most other automotive OEMs.

The Senior HR Generalist will report to the HR Leader and be responsible for the following duties to contribute to achieving company performance goals:
● Oversees and participates in candidate sourcing activities and the recruitment process to fill production-related and salaried/professional positions.
● Maintains communications with staffing agencies, manages staffing performance, and develops candidate sourcing and recruiting strategies.
● Coordinates management training in interviewing, selection/hiring, employee relations, corrective actions, and performance reviews.
● Assists with employee-related investigations, documentation, and resolution. Advises management on proper communication.
● Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
● Plans and participates in new employee orientation to foster positive employee relations and high levels of employee engagement.
● Prepares monthly reports regarding staffing, headcount, and absenteeism
● Conducts wage surveys within the labor market to determine competitive wage rates.
● Prepares reports and recommends procedures to improve employee retention.
● Learns company benefits programs such as life, health, dental, and disability insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance for employee training and communications.
● Work with EHS to support critical company safety goals and training programs and with the Training department to support the continual development and success of the new hire
orientation training.
● Work with the HR Leader to support and implement HR programs and policies.
● Provides supervisory assistance to the HR staff as needed/requested by the Human Resources Leader.
● Serves as a backup for payroll and the benefits administrator.
Requirements
● Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or 5 years equivalent experience.
● 5 years of HR generalist experience with a minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing setting supporting hourly workforce recruitment, orientation, ER, compliance, safety, and other generalist duties.
● Minimum 1 year experience processing payroll and knowledge of regulations affecting payroll
● Minimum 1-year experience in benefits administration.
● Experience with full-cycle recruitment
● Skilled in navigating HR systems, policies, and processes, with strong attention to detail
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS, Payroll, and ATS (ADP Workforce is preferred).
● Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
