JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Coordinator of Corporate Planning/Cost Reductions is responsible to business/supply chain planning & monitoring role in the Corporate Planning Department. The person works closely with Purchasing, Production Control and Engineering section of the company for planning cost reduction items, monitoring impact of cost increases/reductions, investigating new supply chain for existing or new business programs(including resource from Japan or overseas). Other possible duties are monitoring profitability of programs, quoting cost of products or coordinating activities (such as VA/VE) with Production Control or Engineering sections. The person of this position reports to the Manager of Corporate Planning and Assistant Director of Corporate Planning/Supply Chain.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitoring cost reduction activities and cost increasing factors (e.g. Tariffs)
- Create reports of activities or studies (by summarizing related data)
- Plan & support supply chain optimization activities (in-house to import or vice versa)
- Support Assistant Director for leading projects, communicating with affiliate companies or creating reports
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:
- Bilingual (English & Japanese)
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge and experience on procurement, manufacturing and business with automotive customers
- Communication skills to facilitate or coordinate cross functional project / meeting.
- Data analyzing skills to perform study of cost comparison, impact or effectiveness
- Writing – must be proficient in spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and writing in both English and Japanese
- Software – proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- 2-4 years experience
