Title Searcher
We are hiring an experienced Title Searcher. This role is for someone who has performed title searches before and is comfortable working online through title search software. You will research property records, examine the chain of title, and produce accurate, complete search results. Most of your day is spent in title software and email, with some phone work.
This role requires real, hands-on title search experience. We are looking for someone who has done the work directly and can step in quickly.
Responsibilities
- Perform title searches using online title search software.
- Research and examine property records and the chain of title.
- Review each file, determine what is needed, and produce accurate, complete results.
- Keep files moving through the process and follow up as needed.
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams to request and confirm information.
- Work through a high volume of files while keeping a steady, reliable pace.
Requirements
- Two to three years of title search experience in the mortgage industry.
- Experience performing title searches online through software. In-person or county courthouse searching alone does not meet this requirement.
- Hands-on experience with title search platforms such as DataTree and TitlePoint.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy. This is the top priority for the role.
- Consistency and reliability, with a steady work history.
- Self-motivation, good judgment, and clear written and verbal communication.
Position Details
- Hybrid or in-person. You must be able to come to the Pittsburgh office one day a week.
- Full-time, about 40 hours per week.
- Background check required.
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
