Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to design, develop, and implement advanced data science methodologies, models, and analytical solutions. In this role, you will leverage sophisticated analytical capabilities to transform complex health data into actionable insights and build high-impact visualizations that support business divisions across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and execute advanced data science methodologies, data analysis, modeling, and reporting frameworks.
• Transform, classify, and translate complex datasets while actively resolving data quality and data cleansing challenges.
• Design and utilize relational databases, working extensively with dimensional modeling, star schemas, and time-series data.
• Create, deploy, and maintain sophisticated data visualizations and dashboards to support diverse business units.
• Analyze and extract value from unstructured data sources, including clinical data, electronic medical records, and social determinants of health.
• Collaborate across business divisions to translate complex data findings into strategic, high-level business insights.
Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field. (In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in data science methodologies, data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Expert-level programming proficiency with R, SQL, SAS, Python, or a similar data science stack.
• Advanced proficiency in relational database design, dimensional modeling, star schemas, and time-series data.
• Advanced knowledge of government healthcare programs (Medicare Advantage and Medicaid), healthcare data, and healthcare systems.
• Advanced capability in working with unstructured data such as social determinants of health, electronic medical records, and clinical data.
• Strong proficiency in data transformation, data classification, translation, and resolving data quality/cleansing challenges.
• Proven proficiency with data visualization tools, specifically Power BI Service and Tableau.
• Sophisticated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical data to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Master’s degree or PhD in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field.
• Experience working with Azure Cloud native programs.
• Experience working within an Agile software development environment.
• Experience handling large datasets and distributed computing frameworks (Hive/Hadoop) is a plus.
