Overview & Responsibilities
Work with a leading organisation to expand its Artificial Intelligence portfolio. We are seeking a senior AI Architect to join a high-performing team. In this role, you will be the strategic designer for new AI applications. You will define the end-to-end solution – from the LLMs and architecture to the vector databases and prompting strategies – and then guide our data scientists and engineers as they build it. This is a critical leadership role for someone who is passionate about both high-level design and driving solutions in a modern AWS environment.
You will…
• Design and define the complete technical solution and approach for new AI applications.
• Evaluate and select the appropriate components for solutions, including LLMs, system architecture, and prompting techniques.
• Determine the optimal data storage solutions for AI applications, including AWS vector databases (Kendra) and relational databases (Aurora).
• Architect solutions leveraging the AWS AI/ML stack, with a focus on services like AWS Bedrock and SageMaker.
• Act as a vocal leader and technical driver, guiding data science teams and working with multiple stakeholders to deliver on projects.
Required Qualifications
• Significant professional background in Data Science and AI.
• Proven experience as an AI Architect or a Lead Data Scientist who has transitioned into a design and architecture-focused role.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience designing solutions in an AWS environment.
• Direct experience with key AWS AI/ML services, particularly AWS Bedrock and SageMaker.
• Experience making architectural decisions regarding data storage (e.g., Vector DBs vs. Relational DBs).
• Must be a "vocal leader" with exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to drive solutions and lead technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Generative AI or Agentic AI implementations.
• Experience as a Solution Architect with at least 2-3 years of specific focus on AI solutioning.
• Familiarity with AWS Kendra and AWS Aurora.
• Experience with other vector databases, such as MongoDB.
• Prior experience in the healthcare domain.
