Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for capital markets operations, including trading platforms, risk management systems, and client reporting tools.
• Develop comprehensive data models and database designs to support trading analytics, compliance reporting, and market analysis.
• Utilize tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and Visio to create insightful dashboards and visualizations that inform strategic decision-making.
• Lead project management efforts within an Agile framework to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within scope while adhering to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Talend, Python, Bash (Unix shell), and Oracle/SQL Server databases for efficient data integration.
• Conduct thorough data analysis using SQL, R, VBA, and analytics techniques to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Facilitate business analysis sessions with stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical specifications for development teams.
• Support database design efforts for linked data architectures and ensure data quality standards are maintained across all platforms.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst specializing in Capital Markets with a strong understanding of trading systems, financial instruments, and market regulations.
• Demonstrated expertise in data analysis skills including SQL programming, R scripting, Python development, and ETL workflows.
• Proficiency with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker for creating compelling dashboards that communicate insights effectively.
• Solid knowledge of SDLC methodologies and Agile project management practices to oversee end-to-end solution delivery.
• Hands-on experience with database design using Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle; familiarity with linked data concepts is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking combined with excellent communication skills to bridge technical teams and business stakeholders seamlessly.
• Familiarity with analysis tools like Visio for process modeling; experience in business analysis within the financial services or capital markets sector is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as VBA and Bash (Unix shell) to automate tasks and enhance data workflows.
