Job Description
The Client Manager is responsible for growing the client base through new sales and expanding the revenue of existing assigned client accounts within the NSF Food Claims business unit. Food Claims includes organic certification, food and product dietary, nutritional, sustainability and social responsibility consumer value claims. . This role focuses on supporting key accounts, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication and coordination. The Client Manager works closely with internal teams to deliver high-quality service and support business development initiatives.

The Client Manager is responsible for growing the client base through new sales and expanding the revenue of existing assigned client accounts within the NSF Food Claims business unit. This role focuses on supporting key accounts, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication and coordination. The Client Manager works closely with internal teams to deliver high-quality service and support business development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Independently build new sales pipeline to support achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Achieve monthly and quarterly new sales targets
- Achieve client revenue retention by acting as strategic growth liaison, identifying opportunities to expand client service portfolio with NSF through
- Researching client product lines for potential cross sell opportunities
- Evaluating client public financial reports and industry announcements for alignment with NSF services
- Identifying innovative solutions for potential development by NSF to expand client impact
- Mitigate client service concerns through proactive engagement, regular service satisfaction reviews, and coordination with project managers. Coordinate stakeholder interactions to maintain alignment, satisfaction, and support service optimization
- Ensure customer satisfaction by tracking feedback and collaborating with internal teams for smooth delivery
- Support cross-selling efforts by identifying opportunities and aligning services with client goals
- Contribute to business planning by building account strategies and adjusting to meet performance targets
- Assist sales efforts through RFP participation, proposal development, and client business reviews
- Maintain CRM accuracy by documenting all client activities for effective reporting and forecasting
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, environmental or food science,or a related field
- Knowledge of organic product regulations and consumer packaged goods marketing
- 5 years of experience in outbound sales, including business opportunity and sales pipeline development utilizing CRM in daily sales process management
- 3 years client account coordination, preferably in TIC (testing, inspection, certification) or technical business services
- Experience developing and executing lead generation business development or marketing strategies leading to pipeline of qualified leads
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce, Hubspot) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams
- Willingness to travel 35% or more, including international travel
