Position: Staff Accountant
Reports to: Manager, Accounting

Location: Boca Raton, Florida (Corporate Headquarters)
Position Overview
NSD is seeking a results-oriented professional to join a growing Finance & Accounting department responsible for scaling/enabling the Company’s top-quartile strategic growth plans ($1B in revenues by 2030).
The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role plays a key part in assisting with month-end and year-end closings, reconciliations, and the preparation of financial reports.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
- Perform account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, and intercompany accounts).
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain and analyze financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare supporting schedules for audits and management reports.
- Assist with accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) as needed.
- Help prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Support external auditors during audit reviews.
- Participate in process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum 3-years of accounting experience (public or corporate accounting preferred).
Technical & Soft Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle).
- Experience with financial reporting systems and ERP software.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices.
- Knowledge of internal controls and audit procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
