Duration: 3 months (November 16, 2025 - February 15, 2026)
Pay Rate: $18.13 per hour
Position Summary
The Member Services Representative serves as the first point of contact for healthcare plan members, providers, and brokers, delivering high-quality, resolution-focused support. This role requires excellent knowledge of healthcare benefits, insurance plans, and member services processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare, insurance, or call center environments and be able to provide accurate, professional, and empathetic assistance to a diverse customer base.
Note: This position is open only to U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders with relevant healthcare experience.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate member and provider understanding of plan coverage and benefits through thorough research and professional communication.
Record all customer interactions (verbal and written) in the Management Information System (MIS).
Assist in training or re-training new and current team members.
Maintain accurate documentation of phone calls, walk-in inquiries, and mail correspondence to ensure audit-ready records.
Handle all incoming and outgoing calls to resolve member or provider issues.
Triage calls to other departments, such as Utilization Management or Provider Relations, when appropriate.
Respond to written correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
Provide guidance to members on portal navigation and accessing their accounts.
Develop a working understanding of healthcare plans, eligibility, and claims activity to support inquiries effectively.
Adhere to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards in all interactions.
Requirements
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (proof required).
Experience: Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in healthcare, insurance, or call center environments.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of healthcare benefits, products, and insurance processes.
Proficiency with MIS systems and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel).
Ability to accurately document interactions and follow regulatory procedures.
Strong problem-solving and multitasking capabilities.
Work Environment
Onsite position in a professional healthcare office setting.
