Job Description - Associate Inventory Control (Field Distribution)
Location: Rialto, CA 92376
Job Type: Temporary (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $21.00/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM

Position Summary
The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting cycle counting activities, and ensuring compliance with company standards for inventory management. The role involves performing data entry, conducting audits, resolving discrepancies, and providing timely support for internal stakeholders regarding inventory availability and open orders. This position requires strong attention to detail, basic data entry skills, and the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Data Entry
Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of all product movement within the inventory system.
Update Oracle daily to track product location, transfers, and disposal.
Monitor and scrub weekly/monthly reports for inventory accuracy and status.
Ensure all documentation and system updates are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
Maintain filing and record retention for all Inventory Control documents.
Cycle Counts & Physical Inventory
Plan and/or execute cycle counting, location audits, and expired product processing.
Participate in quarterly and annual physical inventories including preparation, auditing, counting, and reconciliation.
Investigate and resolve inventory variances and report concerns to management.
Process completed MRB items including stock updates, system transfers, and product consolidation.
Communication & Customer Support
Monitor personal and departmental email inboxes for inquiries.
Provide first-level support for internal customers regarding open order status and inventory availability.
Communicate professionally across internal departments and escalate issues as needed.
Operational Support
Support Lean/5S activities and maintain workplace organization.
Update issue logs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Meet productivity and quality standards established by the manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency with MS Office / MS Business Suite.
Basic data entry and spreadsheet skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good problem-solving ability and customer service mindset.
Team-oriented attitude with the ability to interact professionally at all levels.
Physical Requirements
Mostly sedentary work with some walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.
Able to lift/carry items typically under 50-60 lbs (occasionally copier parts or equipment).
Moderate dexterity with regular use of keyboard, calculator, and office tools.
