ABOUT THE ROLE
Bellpersons welcome our guests with a smile and a helping hand. Working closely with the Front Desk, Management, and other hotel departments, they are primarily responsible for welcoming all guests to the hotel as well as bidding them farewell. The Bellperson assists with luggage, transportation, and other miscellaneous requests, provides information about various features of the hotel, but most importantly, interacts with guests to provide a wonderful hotel experience.
Essential Duties:
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 80 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk, for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
- Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Specific requirements of the role:
- Greet all guests in the lobby in a warm and professional manner, make them feel welcome and anticipate their needs before they arise.
- Escort guests checking in to their accommodations following hotel procedure.
- Ensure collection and delivery of guest luggage and equipment in an efficient and timely manner.
- Identify and explain guest room features to include use of such as air conditioning/heat units and thermostat controls, telephone, television, clock radio, guest services directory, mini-bar, in room safe, lights, bathroom amenities, valet/laundry services, door lock.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of the bell closet and bell carts on a daily basis.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with guests.
- Flexibility in scheduling to work various shifts; weekends and holidays when needed.
Salary : $17
