What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vehicle Wash Installation and Maintenance Tech position at NS Corporation?
*(Preferred - car wash maintenance experience)
1. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
To ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by providing quality service, on-time maintenance, repairs and installations, and responsive technical support while maintaining the profitability of projects. Develops an expert-level understanding of NS’ systems, parts, and processes and utilizes this knowledge to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install equipment. Further, to assist the Customer Service Manager & Field Service Manager in support of the overall company and the Customer Service department’s goals. This position involves extensive communication with customers and travels to job sites within/out of the United States.
2. JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience Background:
- Technical School or equivalent training with a minimum of 1 year of field service/ technical related work experience requiring knowledge of mechanical, plumbing skills, and electrical is highly preferred. Preference is given to individuals with previous work experience in mechanical services/ repair work or related functions.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Must communicate (verbal and nonverbal) well in English;
- Some work in government jobs
- Service/maintenance/ mechanical related experience (highly preferred);
- Must work well within team framework;
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused;
- Communicate effectively establishes positive working relationships;
- Must be dependable and on-time;
- Structure tasks and prioritize work assignments to meet deadlines and accomplish departmental goals;
- An understanding of construction trades (general construction, plumbing and electrical)- (highly preferred);
- Must possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
- Able to recognize and communicate the impact of design, configuration, and other technical aspects of equipment and services;
- Familiarity with a wide breadth of electrical and mechanical principles and systems, parts, hardware, assemblies related to vehicle wash systems or similar products (highly preferred);
- Knowledge in programming
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical, and related drawings (highly preferred);
- Basic knowledge of hand/ air tools (impact wrench, power drill, nail/ rivet gun, grinder, etc.) and welding equipment;
- Basic knowledge of OSHA standards (preferred);
- Ability to travel extensively and work on weekends as necessary;
- Must pass DMV driving record investigation;
- Able to routinely lift/maneuver up to 50 lbs.;
- Able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb, twist, reach, lift, push, pull, stand, and/or walk for prolonged periods.
- Skilled in computer programs such as Microsoft, Excel, PDF, Sage
- PLC and BFD experience
3. TRAINING REQUIRED
Training will be provided through Supervisors/Management Rep. during the 90-day probationary period and will be provided periodically throughout the year.
