We are seeking an experienced EHR Business Analyst to support electronic health record (EHR) initiatives, including requirements gathering, workflow analysis, process improvement, and system enhancements. The ideal candidate will collaborate with project managers and cross-functional stakeholders across clinical, operational, technical, data, and compliance teams to assess business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements. This role will help improve workflows, support EHR functionality, and ensure alignment between organizational objectives and system capabilities.
Responsibilities- Gather, analyze, prioritize, document, and maintain business, clinical, operational, data, and reporting requirements for EHR initiatives.
- Translate stakeholder needs and existing workflows into clear, measurable, and testable requirements.
- Identify shared requirements, program-specific needs, conflicting priorities, dependencies, and opportunities for standardization.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, requirements-gathering sessions, and reviews to validate requirements and establish priorities.
- Develop and maintain current-state and future-state workflows, process maps, business rules, use cases, requirements matrices, and gap analyses.
- Support EHR testing activities, including test scenario development, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect tracking, and functionality validation.
- Identify workflow gaps, project risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Coordinate business analysis activities with the Project Manager and communicate requirements status, outstanding decisions, dependencies, and issues.
- Provide analytical support for multiple EHR initiatives, including new capabilities, system enhancements, workflow modifications, and patient-facing functionality.
