Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Payment Posting Specialist to support our revenue cycle team. This role is responsible for high-volume payment posting, reconciliation, and maintaining financial accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Post insurance and patient payments from EOBs, ERAs, EFTs, and paper checks
- Reconcile payments against bank deposits and financial reports
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, unapplied payments, and posting errors
- Review EOBs and ensure accurate allocation of payments
- Maintain daily productivity and quality benchmarks in a high-volume setting
- Collaborate with billing and accounts receivable teams to ensure accurate account balances
- Assist with reporting, audits, and process improvements
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records
Qualifications
- 3 years of payment posting or revenue cycle experience (healthcare preferred)
- Strong understanding of EOBs, ERAs, and payment reconciliation
- Experience in high-volume payment posting environments
- Behavioral health or substance abuse billing experience preferred
- Experience with Kipu, CMD, or similar billing systems preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
