Because while individuals can do well, together we achieve something extraordinary. We are seeking a mid to senior level associate lawyer to join our Projects practice in Singapore. Our team is a tier 1 ranked projects team advising sponsors, lenders and investors on many of the most complex and innovative energy and infrastructure projects in the region. You will work predominantly on cross-border transactions across a diverse range of sectors including power and renewables, energy transition, low-carbon fuels, battery mineral and metals supply chains and digital assets such as towers, sub-sea cable, and data centres. Experience in these sectors would be helpful. We are seeking an associate with strong technical expertise and project document drafting skills, capable of managing workstreams and demonstrating exceptional teamwork. The candidate should possess the ability to develop strategies, understand the commercial aspects of project financed infrastructure and provide practical, business-oriented advice to our international clients. Skills and Experience Required Mid-senior level (5 to 6 years UK equivalent PQE), qualified in Singapore, England & Wales or their equivalent in a common law jurisdiction. Prior experience drafting and negotiating project documents in the context of limited recourse finance infrastructure projects is required. Experience with power/renewables, energy, utilities and infrastructure projects. A sound working knowledge of general construction and operation contractual arrangements and internationally recognised standard forms (such as FIDIC) would be ideal. Additional experience with other project documentation such as power purchase agreements, offtake contracts, feedstock and fuel supply contracts, concession contracts, interface agreements and ancillary security documents would be beneficial. Strong drafting skills. Demonstrates critical thinking and can apply themself to preparing sophisticated and client friendly due diligence reports that focus on matters of particular importance to the relevant transaction. Able to apply themself to complex and intricate transactions involving multiple jurisdictions and that require a more creative approach. International experience and a forward-thinking outlook would be valued. Communicates effectively, in both practical and intellectual terms. Demonstrates a keenness to learn and expand their experience. An excellent team player. Strong academic background. Mandarin or other Asian language skills would be beneficial. Possesses strong organisational and transaction management skills and the willingness to drive a complex and time-critical transaction to a successful and timely outcome. Experience of project finance documentation is also welcome.
