Job title: Materials Planner
Location: North Hollywood
Pay: $40–$45/hour
Requirements
- Must have aerospace or defense manufacturing experience.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 2–4 years of materials planning experience and 5 years in production control/materials or inventory management.
- Strong MRP/ERP experience (JD Edwards preferred; SAP a plus).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the sales backlog from order entry through shipment.
- Plan and schedule materials to support production and on-time customer deliveries.
- Review MRP action messages, generate work orders, and issue purchase orders.
- Coordinate with Contracts, Production, Purchasing, Receiving, and Shipping.
- Expedite materials, resolve shortages, and adjust schedules as needed.
- Monitor delivery performance and identify recovery plans for potential delays.
- Ensure inventory and production schedules align with customer requirements.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of machine shop processes and aerospace/manufacturing standards.
- Excellent planning, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
