Summary
The Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This position is critical in maintaining a reliable supply chain to support our solar manufacturing operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with both existing and new vendors to ensure alignment with quality, capacity, and productivity expectations.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify and qualify suppliers for a wide range of materials and services.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
- Track global and domestic trends in key commodities, including commodity index tracking, regulatory impacts, and sustainability factors.
- Identify and qualify alternative suppliers to enhance supply chain flexibility and resilience.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and mutual success.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical sourcing standards, and environmental regulations.
- Analyze procurement data and metrics to measure performance, identify improvement areas, and report on sourcing KPIs.
