Description:
We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with strong integration testing expertise to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mainframe development, as well as a solid understanding of integration testing processes and methodologies. This role involves working closely with various departments to ensure seamless integration and functionality of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, JCL, and MQ.
• Conduct system analysis, design, coding, testing, and documentation of complex programs.
• Collaborate with business analysts and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform integration testing to ensure the seamless operation of mainframe applications with other systems.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for integration testing.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve defects and issues during the testing phase.
• Support data analysis, data migration, and rule mining, including the conversion of legacy code.
• Write scripts for data cleansing, formatting, and transformation.
• Coordinate with offshore teams to manage assignments, deliverables, and quality reviews.
• Ensure compliance with security and operational readiness standards for new system implementations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a mainframe developer with expertise in COBOL, DB2, JCL, and MQ.
• Strong knowledge of integration testing methodologies and tools.
• Experience with data analysis, data migration, and rule mining.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with open systems technology such as SQL Server, SSIS, or other ETL tools.
• Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops, roles/security, and access management.
• Familiarity with Ceridian Dayforce or other SaaS payroll systems.
