Job Type: Fulltime Permanent Role/Direct Hire

Salary Range: $80K - $105K/Annum plus benefits

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support automation, controls and manufacturing systems for a growing industrial manufacturing environment. This role will focus on PLC/HMI programming, electrical controls design, troubleshooting, machine integration and continuous improvement initiatives in a high-speed production setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain industrial control systems and electrical schematics.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, motion controls and safety systems.
• Support automation projects, machine startups, testing, debugging and equipment improvements.
• Develop and update control panel layouts, ladder logic and system documentation.
• Work cross-functionally with maintenance, engineering, production and external integrators.
• Assist with controls architecture, industrial networking and data collection systems.
• Improve equipment reliability, operational efficiency and manufacturing safety standards.
• Support continuous improvement and automation enhancement initiatives.

Preferred Technical Experience:

• PLC programming experience with platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Beckhoff, or similar.
• Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, robotics and machine vision systems.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and automation networks.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and troubleshooting industrial automation systems.
• Understanding of manufacturing safety systems and applicable electrical standards.

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Controls Technology, Automation, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in controls engineering, automation or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and project coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
