Title: Power Systems Applications Engineer
Location: Melbourne, FL 60523
Job type: Full-time
Responsible for advanced Power Systems Application software development and successful delivery of assigned functions to meet corporate project/product commitments. The responsibilities include working with Electric Utilities or ISOs (Independent System Operators) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs) on functional software specifications, designing, coding, testing, integration, application tuning and delivery
Must have technical/functional skills:
- 5 years of work experience in development, customizing and delivering Energy Management Systems for Electric Power Utilities leveraging industry practices
- Knowledgeable and Proficient in Electric SCADA, Power DMS, Transmission EMS Implementations
- 5 years of experience with C, Java & SQL/Oracle Database
- 5 years of experience with OOPS skills with C , Full stack Java or other related language.
- 5 years of experience with AEMS product (design and development).
- years of experience with LINUX and Windows Operating Systems
- SQL, shell scripting, ability to read and interpret logs & debug files
- Installation of Operating system patches and other 3rd Party Software such as Oracle, NetApp etc.
Preferable Skills:
- Preferable work experience in customizing and implementing Network or Transmission Applications (such as Load Flow, State Estimator, AGC, OPF, CA etc) preferably on Client’s Reliance (XA21), as well as EMS/DMS/SCADA of any equivalent platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider etc.
Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
