NPORT Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join a dynamic team at a reputable rehabilitation and nursing care facility in the Bronx, NY. The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist residents in improving mobility, restoring function, and enhancing their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and functional mobility training
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home exercise programs
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient care goals
Qualifications
- Active New York State PTA license (required)
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Previous experience in rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility (preferred)
