Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Community Manager to oversee the daily operations and resident relations within our property portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of property management regulations, and exceptional customer service abilities. This role involves managing leasing activities, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws, and fostering a positive community environment. The Community Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for residents, vendors, and staff, ensuring smooth property operations and high resident satisfaction.
Duties
- Manage leasing processes including property leasing, tenant screening, and lease signing using tools - Resman preferred.
- Oversee property maintenance requests and coordinate with facilities management teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Handle tenant relations by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts through effective conflict management strategies, and maintaining positive customer relationships.
- Conduct regular property inspections to uphold safety standards and property appearance.
- Manage contracts, legal documents, and administrative records with accuracy through data entry, filing, and legal administrative experience.
- Upsell amenities or additional services to residents to enhance occupancy rates and community satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of rent payments, lease agreements, and resident interactions using property management software ResMan preferred.
- Facilitate communication between residents and maintenance staff via phone etiquette and customer service excellence.
- Support marketing efforts by engaging in community outreach and promoting available units or services.
Experience
- 3-5 years experience in property management with familiarity in landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations.
- Strong background in customer service, conflict management, negotiation, and contract administration.
- Proficiency with property management systems such as Resman or CMMS is preferred.
- Administrative experience including data entry, filing, office procedures, and facilities management is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle sensitive situations tactfully.
- Prior experience in sales or upselling within a property or real estate environment is a plus.
