Could you be our next IT Support Technician?

The Level 1 Support Technician provides first-line technical support to users across Hewitt Foods US, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and basic network issues.

This role serves as the first point of contact for all IT support requests and contributes to efficient system operations by maintaining accurate documentation, managing IT assets, and escalating issues as appropriate. The Technician also provides basic user training to enhance employee proficiency with common office software and standard IT tools.

What can you expect day to day?

User & System Support

  • Act as the initial point of contact for IT incidents and requests with a target 15-minute response time.
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting and resolution for Windows, Office 365, and standard business applications.
  • Assist with workstation setup, printer and peripheral configuration, and routine maintenance.
  • Support users onsite and remotely, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Provide user guidance and basic training on common office software products, security best practices, and standard IT procedures.

Infrastructure & Network Support

  • Perform basic troubleshooting of workstation connectivity, network printers, and shared resources.
  • Escalate unresolved or complex issues to Level 2/3 support or managed service providers.
  • Assist with the implementation of basic infrastructure changes under the direction of the Infrastructure and Security Manager.

Asset & Vendor Management

  • Track and maintain IT hardware, software licenses, and accessories inventory.
  • Coordinate vendor service calls and warranty repairs as needed

Documentation & Process

  • Maintain accurate ticket logs in the helpdesk system.
  • Contribute to the IT knowledge base for recurring issues and solutions.
  • Follow established IT procedures and security protocols.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in desktop or help desk support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 environments
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
