Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processing
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Quicken to record transactions and generate reports
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify account integrity
- Process payroll using appropriate payroll software and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including financial statement writing and budget analysis
- Maintain meticulous records of debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in accounting roles with familiarity in general ledger reconciliation and account analysis
- Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and other financial systems
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and governmental accounting practices is preferred
- Ability to perform bank reconciliation, journal entries, and account reconciliation accurately
- Experience with payroll processing, tax compliance, and financial report writing is highly desirable
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of 10 key typing and data entry accuracy
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and budget management
