The Opportunity
As a Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of water and wastewater engineering projects from planning and design to construction administration. You will work closely with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and staff while ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of multiple water and wastewater engineering projects.
- Represent clients in meetings, including presentations at public meetings and hearings.
- Supervise and mentor department staff assigned to projects.
- Prepare evaluations of existing and proposed facilities, including project cost analyses and alternatives.
- Oversee the preparation of plans, specifications, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
- Conduct sewer system condition evaluations, including televising of sewers.
- Coordinate with contractors, client staff, and regulatory agencies.
- Assist with preparation and review of Act 537 Plans, Chapter 94 Reports, and land development project reviews.
- Support QA/QC efforts for design reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
What You Bring
- Education: B.S. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent.
- Credentials: Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Pennsylvania required.
- Experience: 15 years in water/wastewater engineering, including new infrastructure and rehabilitation projects for sewer and water systems.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Experience with PADEP and local/state permitting.
- Leadership: Proven success managing clients, staff, budgets, and schedules.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of sewer/water treatment, pumping, storage, and distribution systems. AutoCAD Civil 3D and Act 537 experience a plus.
- Strengths: Excellent communication, project management, organizational, and leadership abilities.
