Our client is a well-established wealth management firm seeking a Junior Financial Advisor to support senior advisors and deliver financial planning and investment services to high-net-worth and mass-affluent clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career advisor to gain hands-on experience, develop technical and client-facing skills, and grow into a lead advisory role over time within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities For The Junior Financial Advisor
Support senior advisors in delivering comprehensive financial planning and investment advice to clients
Assist in the preparation and implementation of financial plans, including retirement, tax, estate, education, and risk management strategies
Help monitor and manage client investment portfolios in alignment with client goals and risk tolerance
Participate in client meetings, prepare materials, and follow up on action items
Conduct research and analysis to support planning recommendations and portfolio decisions
Build foundational client relationships through proactive communication and service support
Collaborate with internal teams and external professionals, including CPAs and attorneys, as needed
Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements
Support ongoing client service needs and contribute to a high-quality client experience
Qualifications
Qualifications for the Junior Financial Advisor: Bachelors degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field
1 to 3 years of experience in wealth management in a client-facing role
Series 65 license, or the ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
Passion for helping clients, with an outgoing personality and the ability to build rapport and trust
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
High attention to detail with a strong client service orientation
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced advisory environment
Preferred Qualifications
CFP track or interest in pursuing the CFP designation
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial planning software such as MoneyGuidePro, Tamarac, Junxure, and Redtail
Tax planning knowledge is a plus
