About the Role:
A growing technology-driven organization is seeking a Junior System Administrator to provide on-site Level 1 and Level 2 support, maintain core IT infrastructure, and ensure the smooth daily operation of business-critical systems. This role is ideal for an early-career IT professional who is eager to grow their skills in server administration, networking, security, and systems used within regulated or cGMP-based environments. You will work closely with both internal staff and external vendors while contributing to system improvements, documentation, and ongoing technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-site end-user support, resolving Level 1 and Level 2 technical issues with a strong focus on customer service.
Maintain current knowledge of hardware, software, networking technologies, and IT best practices.
Assist users with installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades for hardware, software, and new systems.
Collaborate with third-party vendors to resolve system outages and performance issues.
Support information security tasks including threat identification, mitigation, and data protection.
Assist with server, network, and disaster recovery infrastructure maintenance and upgrades.
Support validation and lifecycle maintenance of systems used in regulated environments (e.g., cGMP).
Participate in developing system procedures, standards, and documentation.
Evaluate hardware and software solutions to meet operational needs.
Maintain accurate IT asset and inventory records.
Provide after-hours on-call support as needed.
Offer Coverage For Other IT Team Members When Required.
Maintain clean, organized IT workspaces while following safety and environmental requirements.
Participate in special projects and cross-functional technical initiatives.
Follow all internal policies, SOPs, compliance guidelines, and safety procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:Education
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
Experience
13 years of hands-on technical support experience.
Experience supporting Microsoft OS environments (Windows 711), Microsoft Office, and Microsoft 365.
Experience in regulated or cGMP environments is a plus.
Technical Skills
Basic networking experience including Active Directory and application support.
Exposure to Windows Server (20122025), Exchange, and Microsoft 365 administration preferred.
Familiarity with Hyper-V, SANs, VLANs, and switch administration is beneficial.
Experience with tools such as ManageEngine, Sophos, Duo, or Acronis is a plus.
Understanding of disaster recovery concepts.
Certifications
CompTIA A , Network , or Security preferred.
