- Deliver individualized, small-group, and inclusion-based instruction aligned with IEP goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and support student access.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Assess and track student progress, maintaining accurate documentation and reports.
- Create a structured, inclusive classroom environment that supports academic and social growth.
- Support students in developing critical thinking, independence, and self-advocacy skills.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including MET and Child Find processes.
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and administrators regarding student progress.
- Supervise and support paraprofessionals as assigned.
- Participate in curriculum development, professional development, and school initiatives.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
- Valid Arizona Special Education teaching certification.
- Appropriate Arizona Department of Education endorsement for the area of disability.
- Knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and inclusion practices.
- Strong instructional, behavioral, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to use technology, assessment tools, and data to guide instruction.
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Bonus Skills: Experience in inclusive or co-teaching environments.
- Familiarity with Arizona Professional Teacher Standards.
- Experience supervising paraprofessionals or support staff.
- Strong background in differentiated instruction and behavior supports.
