This individual will be responsible for safety, productivity, quality, and customer service for approximately 25 hourly employees. It will report to the Production Superintendent and is expected to exceed customer expectations and align with the company’s cultural, financial, and operational objectives. Job Functions
- Achieve safety goals by following defined safety procedures, encouraging involvement, following up on safety concerns, and modeling proper safe behaviors.
- Achieve desired level of team engagement by providing leadership on the shift.
- Achieve quality goals, ensuring proper training on equipment and proper material handling procedures, performing requisite inspections, and following up on suggested improvements.
- Achieve productivity goals by establishing and communicating clear goals, providing resources, ensuring proper handling and storage, engaging the team, setting appropriate priorities, and monitoring progress.
- Effectively communicate key issues (e.g., performance reviews, 1-on-1’s, safety meetings, overtime plans, monthly business results, etc.).
- Share in our obligation to protect and strengthen company’s good reputation in all relationships.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Four-year degree preferred
- 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing
- Ability to work a night shift (7 PM - 7 AM) 12-hour shift including working every other weekend
