- Execute plant support, troubleshooting, and lead improvement projects for the Richmond, IN facility.
- Assist the Richmond plant in meeting or exceeding stated operational, environmental, and safety goals.
- Mentor Junior Engineers and Electricians and provide training.
- Handle plant projects from start to finish on a broad range of industrial electrical and control system manufacturing projects.
- Prepare and review technical electrical specifications for equipment, processes, and projects.
- Troubleshoot and correct operational issues.
- Participate in/lead root cause corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
- Provide on-call support to plant operations for electrical and controls issues.
- Assist in the review and implementation of Corporate Specifications and Standards.
- Track and prioritize issues in conjunction with other departments.
- Assist the facility with manufacturing operations and the execution of electrical safety initiatives.
- Maintain communication with management and project customers regarding project status, problems, and changes.
- Coordinate, review, provide oversight, and manage external engineering resources and consultants as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in control systems engineering in a continuous and/or discrete manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated electrical and control system engineering capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to provide solutions to basic project and process engineering problems.
- Solid knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI applications including programming and communications within enterprise and control networked systems.
- Knowledge of DCS/SCADA systems.
- Ability to read/understand electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Knowledge in the application of the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace concerning arc flash energy and shock hazards.
- Ability to manage and support multiple (1-3) projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated success managing projects ranging from $50k to $200k.
- Demonstrated capabilities in working collaboratively with internal and external engineering resources.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated drive and initiative to complete assigned tasks and seek out improvement opportunities.
- Ability to design and execute projects within North America, requiring travel (10%).
