Position Overview
The Director of Finance will take ownership of all financial and accounting activities across the organization and affiliated entities. Acting as a key advisor to senior leadership, this individual will deliver accurate reporting, actionable insights, and strategic financial guidance.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys both rolling up their sleeves in day-to-day accounting while also contributing at a strategic level.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
Lead all aspects of the accounting cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Produce timely monthly financial statements and internal reporting packages
Maintain general ledger integrity, reconciliations, and fixed asset tracking
Manage financial activities across multiple entities
Cash Flow, Billing & Transactions
Oversee billing processes, receivables, and collections strategy
Monitor cash flow and manage daily treasury activities
Review payables and ensure proper coding and approvals
Ensure compliance with vendor reporting requirements, including 1099 preparation
Analysis & Strategic Support
Analyze financial performance, including revenue trends, cost drivers, and profitability
Develop reporting tools and dashboards to support decision-making
Provide forward-looking financial insights and recommendations
Partner with leadership to improve processes, systems, and scalability
Leadership & Process Improvement
Serve as a trusted financial resource to executive leadership
Identify opportunities to enhance internal controls and operational efficiency
Support implementation of financial systems and automation tools
Help build and scale the finance function as the organization grows
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including full-cycle accounting ownership
Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis
Experience with billing, receivables, and cash management processes
Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders and Board members
