 POSITION SUMMARY: The HR Generalist provides hands-on support to employees, supervisors, managers, and the HR Manager across a variety of HR functions. This position serves as a visible and approachable HR resource and supports employee relations, attendance and leave administration, onboarding, benefits, performance management, training, employee engagement, HRIS administration, compliance, and HR projects. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Serve as a resource to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, workplace concerns, and employee relations matters. 

• Assist with employee investigations, corrective actions, coaching, performance management, and documentation. 

• Support new hire onboarding, orientation, I-9 completion, personnel files, and employee status changes. 

• Assist with attendance administration and tracking of FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, ADA accommodations, and other leaves. 

• Assist employees with benefits questions, enrollment, and annual open enrollment. 

• Maintain accurate employee information, personnel records, and HRIS data. 

• Support the annual performance review process and maintain performance documentation. 

• Coordinate and track employee and management training programs. 

• Support employee engagement, recognition programs, appreciation events, employee communications, and HR initiatives. 

• Assist with HR audits, compliance requirements, policies, procedures, and special projects. 

• Support employee separation processes, including documentation, company property returns, and exit interviews. 

• Maintain confidentiality of employee and medical information. 

• Partner with the HR Manager and leadership team to improve HR processes and employee experience. 

• Perform other HR-related duties as assigned. 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. 

• 3 years of HR experience preferred, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment. 

• Working knowledge of employee relations, attendance, leave administration, benefits, performance management, and HR compliance. 

• Experience with HRIS systems; Paycom experience preferred. 

• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. 

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. 

• Ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels. 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
