Looking for an Experienced Pharmacy Technician

Our store is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacist with prescription management and communicating with physicians’ offices about patient medications. The successful candidate for this role will communicate with patients over the phone and in-store to address customer service issues and field questions about medications. Additionally, our Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for confirming patient information on prescription labels before disbursing medications.
Responsibilities:
- Enter and maintain prescription data using our computer system
- Answer incoming phone calls and field patient questions
- Contact doctor’s offices or hospitals to clarify prescription information
- Disburse completed and confirmed prescriptions to patients
- Answer patient questions and address customer service issues when they arise
- Assist the pharmacist with maintaining the ongoing medication inventory and place medication orders when instructed
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Pharmaceutical Technology (bachelor’s degree preferred)
- 4 years of customer service experience required
- Exemplary verbal communication and customer service skills
- Must possess valid state certification
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environment
