Staff Accountant

Overview
Our client, a growing organization supported by NOW CFO, is seeking an permanent and full-time Experienced Staff Accountant to join their internal accounting team. This role will play a key part in day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and cross-functional collaboration, with exposure to revenue recognition and process improvement initiatives. Candidates applying to this role ideally will be local to Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable (AR/AP) processes

• Handle revenue recognition activities in accordance with company policies

• Prepare and maintain financial statements

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of account activity

• Process debits and credits accurately and in a timely manner

• Support month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis

• Partner cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and support audit requests

• Assist with process improvements and documentation of accounting procedures

Must-Haves

• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience

• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO)

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• Strong Excel skills

• Highly motivated and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience within healthcare or pharmaceutical benefits

• Familiarity with NDC data

• Public accounting background

• CPA candidate or intent to pursue CPA
