Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our San Diego market who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work, as you will support multiple clients across different industries, systems, and business models.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive, with a strong ability to manage competing priorities. You’ll be stepping into environments where you can quickly add value, bring structure, and support key accounting functions with minimal direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals
- Perform and review account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Maintain and analyze the general ledger and supporting schedules
- Assist with accounting clean-up projects and process improvements
- Partner with client teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Support audit preparation and documentation requests
- Assist with AP/AR, billing, and day-to-day accounting operations as needed
- Work within a variety of ERP systems (QuickBooks required)
- Communicate effectively with internal leadership and client stakeholders
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong experience with month-end close and reconciliations
- Experience in multi-entity or complex environments preferred
- Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously
- Comfortable in a client-facing, consulting environment
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and think critically
- Excellent communication and professional presence
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (required); NetSuite or other ERP systems a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA is a plus)

Compensation
Hourly: $38 – $50/hour
Salary: $80,000 – $95,000
(Compensation varies based on experience, certifications, and system expertise)
