Compensation: $140,000 – $160,000

NOW CFO is hiring a Controller on behalf of a nonprofit, faith-based school in Santa Rosa, CA. This is a senior-level accounting and finance role supporting a mission-driven organization with a collaborative, kindness-led culture.
What You’ll Do
- Own the monthly close, quarterly reporting, and annual audit process
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial projections
- Provide financial analysis and FP&A support to leadership
- Partner with the Financial Committee on reporting and planning
- Support tuition revenue, annual tuition, and tuition assistance analysis
- Ensure strong controls, accuracy, and on-time deliverables
- Oversee and lead the Finance Department, providing strategic direction, and accountability for all finance personnel
- Oversee collaboration with Department Budget Managers on budget formulation and ensure regular reporting to track performance against targets
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience
- Nonprofit accounting experience
- Proven leadership experience and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and financial acumen
- Comfortable working in a faith-based school environment
- Thoughtful, confident communicator who leads with kindness
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- CPA and/or MBA
