Commercial Real Estate Controller - Dallas

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Real Estate Controller to oversee all financial aspects of our commercial real estate properties in the Dallas area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is a plus
• 5 years of experience in real estate accounting, with a focus on commercial properties
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting for real estate assets
• Proficiency in real estate accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  
  

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of financial reporting for commercial real estate properties
• Develop and monitor property budgets and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with lease agreements, loan covenants, and other regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with property managers, leasing agents, and other stakeholders to streamline financial processes
• Participate in asset acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing activities
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making processes
• Assist with annual audits and tax filings related to commercial real estate holdings
• Stay current on industry trends, laws, and regulations affecting commercial real estate finance.
