What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager position at NOW CFO?
NOW CFO is searching for an experienced Accounting Manager to become a permanent member of our client's team in the Palm Springs area! The Accounting Manager will oversee all accounting operations and report directly to the Controller.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for month-end close, GL account reconciliation, and preparing financial statements for review
- Responsible for bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and prepaid amortizations
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Ensure compliance with complex accounting regulations and stay up-to-date on changes and developments
- Assist with HR oversight/admin including onboarding, maintaining reports, payroll processing, and benefits administration
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes
- Maintain a strong understanding of the company's financial systems and processes to identify areas for improvement
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a supervisory role
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends
- Strong attention to detail, able to identify errors or misclassifications
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
