What are the responsibilities and job description for the Media Coordinator position at Novus Print Media?
We have an exciting opportunity for an operationally-minded individual who enjoys juggling a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. Media Operations works with publishers and teams throughout NOVUS to ensure flawless execution of advertising campaigns. Media Coordinators work in a team environment to efficiently manage the day-to-day execution of media buys. They are typically the “go-to contact” for publishers when questions arise; a person in this role must be able to troubleshoot quickly and effectively.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Send and confirm media orders and cancellations in a timely manner
- Act as a liaison between publishers and internal departments to manage the execution of media buys
- Update internal systems with contact information, campaign details, etc.
- Communicate changes, answer publisher questions and resolve issues
- Resolve rate discrepancies on an ongoing basis
- Negotiate makegoods and/or credits
- Assist publishers with account setup, password resets, and questions related to NOVUS’ online portal
- Gather and inspect proof of publication; follow up on outstanding proof of publication
- Manage special requests from publishers and internal departments
- Gather space and positioning availability and obtain deadline extensions as needed
- Work with Media Operations Manager on special projects as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred (relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree)
- Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment working on campaigns for multiple clients
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Skilled at both verbal and written communication
- Demonstrated computer expertise within the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
- Drive to improve internal processes/systems and confident in communicating observed inconsistencies
- Solutions-oriented with desire and passion to solve problems
- Effective analytical skills
- Confident, independent, self-motivated team player who is success driven
- Ability to maintain project timelines and meet deadlines
