What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Specialist position at Novus Foods?
The Account Receivables Specialist accurately maintains records of accounts receivable and/or payable including matching and filing invoices, and computing discounts. Accurately prepares variety of statements and other documents including invoices and checks for payment of invoices. Accurately records receipts and payments by both manual and electronic methods. Must interact in a professional manner with other company associates and with outside vendors, customers, and others. Regularly reviewing and tracking customer accounts, preparing summaries of delinquent accounts, providing salespersons with proper documentation, follow-up with customers using recommended communication and collection procedures.
Essential Functions
-Must be able to accurately and efficiently assemble and record data.
-Must be able to efficiently store and retrieve data as necessary.
-Must be able to professionally interact with others.
-Accurate preparation of documents in order to complete and enter vendor invoice for payment.
-Creating Spreadsheets to maximize efficiencies.
-Willingness to cross train in both A/P and A/R departments.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Associate’s Degree in Accounting or 2 years’ experience using
Integrated Accounting Programs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Professional interaction with customers and coworkers.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with customers, vendors and employees at all levels of the organization promptly and professionally.
- Ability to multitask, adapt to and operate in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Trained and efficient with general office equipment.
- Excellent attendance required.
