Position: Patient Access Coordinator
Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday from 2pm to 12am
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada – Onsite (This role is not eligible for Remote or Hybrid)
Starting Salary Range: $22 per hour
The starting salary range for this role is a reasonable estimate, with a goal to pay a competitive market salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education and certification, skills, and internal pay equity.

You will play a crucial role in coordinating patient registrations, verifying insurance information, and facilitating the scheduling of appointments. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for patients from their initial contact with the organization.
What you’ll do:
- Greet and assist patients and their families in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Collect and verify patient demographic information, insurance details, and other necessary data for accurate registration.
- Coordinate patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations, while maintaining appointment calendars.
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility, obtaining necessary authorizations and referrals as required.
- Communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to obtain and provide necessary information.
- Answer phone calls and inquiries, addressing questions, concerns, and requests from patients and their families.
- Provide guidance and assistance to patients in completing necessary forms and paperwork.
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate and timely processing of patient charges and payments.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Continuously update and maintain patient records and databases.
- Additional Duties as assigned.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to handle patient registrations and appointments accurately.
- Knowledge of insurance plans, authorizations, and referral processes.
- Proficient in using computer systems and electronic health record (EHR) software.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance providers.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- Problemsolving skills to resolve patient inquiries and issues.
- Understanding of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with colleagues across departments.
- Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient access or similar role.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field is a plus).
- Must pass drug screening and background check in order to start employment with Novum Health.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.
