Role Overview:
The Layout Engineer will lead facility layout redesign and material flow optimization initiatives to support increased throughput and operational efficiency. This role requires strong AutoCAD proficiency and hands-on experience executing mid-scale layout changes within manufacturing environments while ensuring safety, ergonomics, and minimal production disruption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, analyze, and validate facility layout proposals to optimize material flow and throughput
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to plan and implement layout changes
- Ensure layout designs comply with safety, ergonomic, and operational standards
- Support installation, cutover, and commissioning activities, minimizing impact to production
- Review and update layout documentation to reflect as-built conditions
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in space utilization and workflow efficiency
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar layout and drafting tools
- 5 years of experience in facility layout design and optimization
- Proven experience supporting mid-scale layout changes in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site manufacturing setting
