Role Summary
Director Clinical Operations is the leadership position for the US Clinical Operations under Clinical Services division in Novotech. This role is responsible for end-to-end oversight of clinical trial execution, with direct leadership accountability for CTLs, CRAs/Monitors, and Clinical Operations Managers. This role leads strategic initiatives work with other functional management to develop clinical implementation process. This role owns delivery, quality, timelines, and operational performance and is expected to lead, scale, and remediate clinical teams in a fast-paced CRO environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide financial oversight, reporting, and implementing business efficiencies so that operating costs are well contained, and target revenues are achieved in clinical operations area.
- Work with Business Development to ensure appropriate support is provided for generating new business and make a smooth landing for newly awarded projects.
- Function as an ambassador for Novotech when dealing with external parties in all communications including client meetings, conferences, professional association meetings, investigator meetings, and other business events.
- Lead the Clinical Operations Management team by oversight of day-to-day operations for a clinical function.
- Set and drive the team's annual performance review, development goals and KPIs.
- Oversight and resourcing to projects of clinical operations teams to ensure billable utilisation, realisation targets and individual metric targets per roles are met.
- Ensuring project delivery outcomes and high and first-time quality oversight on project delivery outcomes.
- Represent / advocate for clinical operations needs / resources at upper-level management.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate in a clinical, pharmacy or life sciences related field.
- Experience and knowledge of end-to-end management of clinical trial conduct, knowledge of the clinical trial operations
- Excellent organisation skills, ability to manage multiple tasks.
- At least 10 years' experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry.
- At least 5 years in a management role.
Salary Band - $180,000 - 210,000 Salary offered will be based on candidates experience level.
