How You'll Perform the Role
• MUST HAVE MANUAL LATHE, MILL, GEAR HOB, AND WELDING EXPERIENCE • Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures. Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazards. • Keep work area clean and organized, per standards. • Follow all applicable food service policies and procedures. • Follow all PPE policies, wearing steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc. as required. • Make plate cylinders, ensuring they fit appropriately down to each detail. • Make gears, figuring and ensure correct dimensions, using gear shaper. • Repair machine breakdowns as needed. • Build up, grind, and reweld shafts. • Weld various items made of steel, cast iron, aluminum, stainless steel; braze or weld brass. • Handle sheet metal work, such as making guards and ink pens. • Work on special projects as assigned. • Respond to radio calls as needed. • Handle dismantling and rebuilding work. • Grind rubber rolls • Make parts needed, ensuring that specifications are correct. • Cut shafts. • Draw blueprints and sketches of work. • CNC experience is a plus • Keep equipment clean. • Meet/achieve job goals set forth by management. • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management. • Will have to pass the NOCTI exam to qualify
What We Need From You
High school diploma or GED Machinist trade school experience is helpful 3-5 years of applicable work experience is required. Will need a solid understanding of company machinery in order to handle job duties. Will need the ability to set up and run lathes and milling machines (Bridgeport). Will make cylinders and ink pans, chaise threads, make complete parts and determine correct specifications. Skills will be dependent on proficiency level.
