Position Overview
The Senior Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a highly productive territory covering the entire state of Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle. This role requires a consultative sales professional with strong business acumen who can effectively identify, prioritize, and develop relationships with infusion providers, physician practices, and referral sources.
Unlike many larger pharmaceutical organizations, the company does not rely heavily on purchased market data. Success in this role requires an individual who can independently assess territory opportunities, uncover referral patterns, and identify high-value accounts through research, networking, and strategic account management.

Key Responsibilities
Territory Management
- Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan covering Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle.
- Analyze and prioritize target accounts based on infusion capabilities, prescribing patterns, and referral opportunities.
- Identify growth opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
- Maintain a strong understanding of local market dynamics, competitive activity, and customer needs.
Account Development
- Build relationships with:
- Hematology/Oncology practices
- Neurology practices
- Rheumatology practices
- Ambulatory infusion centers
- Buy-and-Bill providers
- Office-based infusion centers
- Educate providers on available infusion service solutions.
- Influence referral pathways to optimize patient access and treatment delivery.
Business Development
- Conduct territory mapping and account profiling to identify new opportunities.
- Determine which practices infuse in-house, utilize external infusion centers, or refer patients to specialty pharmacies.
- Evaluate account potential and allocate resources accordingly.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand market share.
Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
- Establish long-term partnerships with healthcare providers and practice administrators.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and account growth.
- Maintain regular communication with customers to understand evolving needs.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends.
- Maintain a deep understanding of specialty infusion, specialty pharmacy, and Buy-and-Bill reimbursement models.
- Provide market feedback and territory insights to leadership.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 5 years of pharmaceutical, specialty pharmacy, infusion or biologics
- Demonstrated success managing complex healthcare accounts.
- Proven track record of territory growth and account development.
- Experience calling on physician offices and infusion providers.
Preferred Experience
- IVIG experience strongly preferred.
- Specialty pharmacy experience highly desirable.
- Experience working within infusion services, biologics, immunology, neurology, rheumatology, or hematology/oncology markets.
- Background selling into Buy-and-Bill environments.
