Position Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced CNC/Hurco Conversational Setup Operator to join our machining team. This role requires strong Hurco conversational programming skills and hands-on experience with milling, grinding, and lathe machines. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Hurco CNC using conversational programming
- Perform setups and machining operations on milling, grinding, and lathe machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, and work instructions to ensure part accuracy
- Select, install, and adjust tooling and fixtures as required for each job
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Maintain equipment and work area to ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization
- Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to meet daily production goals
- 3 years of CNC machining experience required
- Hurco conversational programming experience a must
- Experience with milling, surface grinding, and manual or CNC lathes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, safety-minded, and detail-oriented
