You'll be ensuring the quality and safety of heavy structural steel used in major builds, working within a stable, union-backed environment where long-term security and retirement benefits are a real priority, not just a promise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of fabricated steel components in a high-output production environment
• Verify weld quality and compliance with WPS and applicable AWS codes (D1.1 / D1.5 where applicable)
• Support monitoring of welding processes and basic fabrication quality controls
• Conduct or assist with non-destructive testing methods (VT, MT, PT, UT where certified)
• Maintain accurate QC documentation and support inspection hold points with internal/external inspectors
• Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues in real time and keep workflow moving
• Ensure fabricated components meet strict structural and safety requirements

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Must-Have:

• AWS CWI or ASNT VT Level II (or willingness to obtain through company-supported certification pathway)
• Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret welding symbols and fabrication drawings
• Detail-focused with solid measurement and inspection skills
• Comfortable working in a heavy industrial steel fabrication environment
