Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) – Newtown, PA
$30–$40/hr OT Full Benefits
A growing AISC-certified steel fabrication shop is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector to support production and ensure all welds meet required codes and customer specifications. This is a full-time, permanent role with steady hours and overtime available.
Responsibilities:
- Attend pre-weld meetings and review drawings/specs
- Observe fit-up, welding, and post-weld inspections
- Verify WPS, PQR, and WPQ documentation
- Produce clear inspection reports; identify non-conformances
- Collaborate with welders, fabrication teams, and QC/Production Managers
Requirements:
- Active AWS CWI certification (non-negotiable)
- Experience in steel fabrication or related industry
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of shop welding practices
Schedule & Benefits:
- Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (40 hrs), overtime paid at time-and-a-half
