🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily welding and fabrication operations across assigned projects
- Oversee safety, quality, and productivity within the welding department
- Train, mentor, and evaluate welders and fabrication staff to ensure consistent performance
- Review drawings, specifications, and weld symbols for accuracy before execution
- Coordinate with project managers and department leads to align priorities and resolve issues
- Monitor materials, equipment, and supplies to avoid downtime
- Ensure compliance with AWS, AISC, and internal quality standards
✅ Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5 years of welding/fabrication experience in the structural steel industry
- Previous supervisory or lead role strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, symbols, and inspection requirements
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Proven leadership and communication skills with experience managing teams
- Safety-first mindset with a track record of maintaining compliant, incident-free worksites
- AWS certifications or equivalent welding qualifications preferred
