🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day QC operations and supervise QC Inspectors
- Conduct weld and fit-up inspections, coordinate NDT testing, and maintain all quality documentation
- Manage welder certifications and support ongoing project requirements
- Prepare for and support AISC audits
- Coordinate with DOT inspectors, customer engineers, project managers, and production teams
- Lead quality meetings and resolve escalated customer or project issues
✅ Ideal Candidate Profile
Required:
- CWI or ASNT VT Level II certification
- 5 years of QC leadership experience in steel fabrication/heavy manufacturing
- Strong blueprint reading ability and familiarity with welding/NDT processes
- Skilled in documentation, communication, and cross-functional coordination
- Proven experience managing inspectors or QC teams
